First Quarter GDP Growth: 28 Provinces Exceed the National Average 2010/4/26 9:50:48
It was reported that 29 provinces released the statistics of economy till April 25, except Shanghai and Tibet. Among them the GDP growth rate of 28 provinces exceeds the national average level of 11.9%. Some even exceed 15%.

It was commented by a netizen: “What a negative growth would Shanghai and Tibet have to balance the 15% plus growth of other provinces to the national average of 11.9%!(上海和西藏要用怎样的负增长才能把其他省市超过
15%的增长水平拖到11.9%的水平!)”

As the only negative growing province last year, Shanxi became the top on the list with a growth rate of 19.4%.

With a growth rate of 11.1%, Qinghai is the only province below the national average.

Ma Jiantang, Chief of State Statistics Bureau, promised to a unified GDP statistic system over the provinces.
